In this picture, I must be around 5. And I am with my mom, auntie and grandma❤️
I feel very privileged to have had the experience to see so many performances and I saw many of the best as a little girl. This was a time with no internet or YouTube, so going to the theater was a big deal and seeing live dance was such a special event. I remember that we all would dress up nicely and take a 3 hour train ride to Tokyo from my hometown, Nagano, then eat something light before etc..
The whole thing was precious and these are treasured experiences that I will always remember in my heart.
This particular performance was the “World Ballet Festival" in Tokyo and there I saw so many legendary international stars! Jorge Donn, Noella Pontois, Eva Evdokimova, Fernando Bujones, Maya Plisetskaya, Alicia Alonso, Marcia Haydée, Carla Fracci and more... I still remember the feeling of heat in the excited audience, the standing ovations and endless applause. Also I remember thinking “ I am flying to the big world and one day I am gonna be standing next to those people on the same stage!” A big big dream time! I did’t do too bad😙
