Back in Dresden with my family /Reunion with Raphael
Updated: Feb 8, 2020
Weekend in Dresden.
So nice to see you Raphael Coumes-Marquet! Thank you for your time and showing us behind the scenes of this beautiful theatre. I danced there a long time ago, early 90s probably 3 or 4 years after the Berlin Wall fell. I remember that whole city was under construction and grey. This time I got a totally different impression about Dresden. It is a typical European beautiful city, there’s a river, hill, castle etc...and hard to imagine this city was heavily damaged in the Warld War 2, as they restored it so beautifully. But we also ran into an anti-immigrant demonstration staged by the far right in front of the theater that is a bit shocking for us and especially the kids 🤔🤥🤔 especially coming from multi-cultural New York City. Very different from Berlin as well. Our sun, Noa was so curious about this political stuff, he didn’t want to leave. Thank you also Yumiko for guiding us on this trip.
